Episode 8: Did I wait too long to have my baby?

Season #2

The new normal has been to avoid getting pregnant in your twenties because the focus should be to get a good education so you can get a great paying job, make sure to travel and do all of the things before you sow your seeds and plant your roots down somewhere. “Get it all out” before you start a family and have your children.

But what happens when you’re ready to start a family and you’re unable to conceive spontaneously? What happens when your irregular menstrual cycles, fibroids and illusive ovulation periods are more problematic than you thought?

Most women won’t ever consider the possibility that their body may not be able to create or carry a baby the first, second or third time trying to conceive. Most don’t think that they’ll be trying to conceive unsuccessfully for more than 24 months.

If you have lived with chronic health that has gone unchecked or reproductive problems and irregularities for years and you did not put any serious thought into “caring” for your body before, the odds may be stacked against you because you unknowingly could have been making your condition worse because of your lifestyle.

You know, late nights burning the candle, long hours at work, lots of caffeine, red bulls. Heavily processed foods, foods you *know* make you sick, but because you “like them”, you tolerate the pain you go through after eating them.

Make sure to watch this video to the end and let me know if any of this sounds familiar to you. I’d love to know your thoughts on this.
